Pastor Paul Eneche was born in Orokam, Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State, to a royal family. He was born into the Idoma tribe on 12th of June 1968. While growing up, Pastor Paul Eneche faced various challenges; although we can say these challenges prepared him for the future. He is also the younger brother of General John Enenche, Nigeria’s Defence Spokesman. Speaking of his mother, she had a great influence on her son’s decision to become a pastor. His mother, Titi Enewa Enenche had an encounter with Jesus in 1958, which prompted her to devote her life entirely to God. Hence, she raised Pastor Paul and his siblings in the way of the Lord ensuring they participated in morning devotions.

Although raised as a Methodist, Pastor Paul Enenche’s life took another turn when he gained admission into the University of His to study Medicine and Surgery. He joined Deeper Life Campus Fellowship, this was when he began to take his Christian work seriously. He became convicted to sin and came to repentance after a series of inward convictions and questions about his eternity gripped his heart.

How The Name Dunamis International Gospel Came About.
Many people wonder where the name Dunamis comes from, obviously, it isn’t an English word. Pastor Paul Eneche got the name of his church from the scriptures.

‘But ye shall receive power (Dunamis), after that, the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.’ Acts 1:8

In ACTS 1:8, Dunamis is the Greek word for power. It means miraculous power and intense ability. Dunamis is a power source that reproduces itself without diminishing in intensity. The Ministry was named Dunamis International Gospel Centre, in response to God’s divine instruction given to the set man of the house -Dr. Paul Enenche.

Being a medical doctor and lover of Christ, Pastor Paul Enenche found it disheartening whenever a patient dies. He couldn’t help but think about how he could have spared the patients’ lives and introduced Christ to him. Hence, while being a medical student, he went to several rounds of evangelism, preaching to the sick, and getting them saved. Pastor Paul recalls having various testimonies and many sick people healed.

Dr. Paul Enenche went into full-time ministry after he had embarked on a personal retreat on the Plateau hills in Jos. He started Dunamis International Gospel on November 10, 1996, two years after he married his wife Becky. As stated by him, the Church’s first church service was held at Abuja Centre for Arts and Culture. After two weeks, the church moved to Abuja Sheraton Hotel. Six months after, in June 1997, the church moved to its permanent site and has since exponentially increased.

His ministry is influenced by God’s servants such as W.F Kumuyi, Pastor David Oyedepo, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and Pastor Kenneth Copeland. Every Sunday, the church observes six services, full-house, and two mid-week services on Wednesday.

On September 14, 2014, Dr. Paul Enenche commenced the construction of the Lord’s Garden, the church’s moniker for its headquarters. Bishop David even arrived at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre headquarters to lay a stone in the foundation of the Lord’s Garden project.
Dunamis Gospel International Centre has the biggest church auditorium in Nigeria yet, Glory Dome with 100,000 seat capacity. The Glory Done dedication in 2018 was a massive celebration having dignitaries in attendance. The Ex-vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo was present to grace the occasion. Another massive structure owned by the church is the International Conference Centre and the church holds four (4) major conferences annually.

This is not surprising as he has a strong background in Deeper Life Ministry. He is a preacher of faith and prosperity. He has been heavily influenced by Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel.
