OPENING PRAYER: Father, please help me to trust You always and forgive others.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leader should remind members what they learnt in previous lesson. And also find out if previous lesson’s assignment was carried out.

MEMORY VERSE: “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” – Matthew 6:14

BIBLE TEXT: Matthew 6:12-15 (KJV)

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: Let go and let God is a popular phrase heard in Churches and all over it is meant to encourage believers and people alike to give their problems to God especially when times are tough. It is also used to encourage people to let God take vengeance on their behalf.

LEADER’S DIARY

LESSON AIM: To have understanding that to worry about what people do against us can never solve challenges of life, forgiveness is divine.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:

know that letting go increases one’s longevity and victory over anxiety
have understanding that keeping people in our hearts negates God’s position.
TEXT REVIEW: MATTHEW 6:12-15

i. Forgiving of others should be our daily submission.
ii. Benefits we are enjoying now as believers came through act of divine love.

TEACHING METHOD: The leader will use interactive method.

TIME MANAGEMENT: Share the teaching time, use suggested time schedule.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE: THE IMPORTANCE OF LETTING GO

No matter what we are passing through, whether they are personal struggles, family challenges or financial obligations, it’s important to let go and let God – Proverbs 3:5-7. We also need to learn to let go of all cases of unforgiveness because He has promised to take vengeance on our behalf, Isaiah 63:4, Romans 12:19-20.

LESSON OUTLINE TWO: WHAT SHOULD YOU LET GO?

Worry, anxiety. Philippians 4:6
Pride. Proverbs 16:18
Ambition, learn from Adonijah 1 King 1:5-45
Tomorrow. Matthew 6:25-34
Visions and your plans.
ASSIGNMENT:

Kindly check through and see who needs your forgiveness and things you need to forgo.
Check the activities to be done for the end of the first quarter and plan ahead.
SUMMARY: Today’s trouble is enough for today, therefore away from damaging issues of life.
CONCLUSION: 1 Peter 5:6-7, we should cast all our cares upon the Lord knowing He cares for us. Also, let us remember that it is His wish, above all things that we should prosper and be in good health, 3 John 2. Remember that only God can help you to picture your future so that you can feature in your future.

PRAYER POINTS

Father, help me to let go, knowing that you care for me.
Father, help us to know that if we do not forgive others, that our own sins shall not be forgiven.
Father, teach us to forgive those who sin against us.
Father, please keep RCCG completely to Yourself and do not let Your people go.
Father, please uphold Your son Your son Pastor E. A. Adeboye and his family till the end.

FRIDAY: Let go of the past and press forward, Philippians 3:12-14

SATURDAY: Let go of things e.g. Hurts, Anger, Pain etc. Ephesians 4:31-32

SUNDAY: He knows all and sees all.
