The more life you live, the more hurt that stacks up and the more things don’t go your way. You have to put all of that somewhere, and I want God to be the One I turn to in all of that, that He becomes a shelter,” Pat Barrett shares. “What else could possibly hold the complexity and the intensity and the joy and the suffering? What other place can handle all that?”

The title track is inspired from scripture in 1 Thessalonians 5 and focuses on being children of light as we don’t belong to the darkness. The song was co-written by Barrett and Cody Carnes, and a live performance of the song is debuted today on YouTube.
