“And He withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.”
GOODNEWS DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 13TH NOVEMBER 2022.
The “He” being referred to in our scripture today is Jesus. Can you imagine the Lord Jesus performing so many miracles and being very busy with ministry? He says, “I must be about my Father’s business” (Luke 2:49). What is touching here is the fact that despite the huge demands placed on Jesus as he was sought after by everybody, he found time to “PRAY.” Anytime Jesus went about performing miracles, signs, and wonders, power (energy) came out of him. The greater the number of miracles, the more power sprang out. Like the demands of ministry today, the more the expansion and growth of the ministry, the more exhausted one becomes.
Jesus taught us a very important lesson: He didn’t succumb to the pressures and demands of ministry by neglecting his prayer life. Jesus knew to gather strength and tap into power in another dimension, and prayer was the key. This shows that regardless of your office, be it a prophet, an evangelist, a teacher, a pastor, or an apostle, you cannot function at full capacity without reloading in prayer. Miracles, signs, and wonders become commonplace when you step out of that place of prayer. Through prayer, another dimension will be opened to you, and power from on high will take over you. To be a shape-shifter, you need to reload through prayer. At this point, diseases, sicknesses, and strongholds will vanish like chaff before you. Amen!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a powerhouse filled with power from on high. My environment is charged with the power to heal the sick and break the chains of oppression. When I appear, demons have no option but to flee in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah!
